Alternative Dispute Resolution

In addition to actively seek early resolution of all cases for our clients, the Firm’s attorneys are available to serve as mediators and/or arbitrators in numerous practice areas, including employment and business litigation.

Business Litigation

The Firm has a well-established complex business litigation practice. The practice includes representing clients in matters involving, but not limited to, breach of contract, fraud, unfair competition, breach of fiduciary duty, intellectual property, construction disputes, tortious interference with contract and prospective economic advantage, securities fraud, corporate and partnership disputes, shareholder disputes, franchise disputes, non-competition, and misappropriation of trade secrets.  This practice involves handing both state and federal court matters, as well as cases subject to mandatory arbitration.

Criminal Defense

The Firm handles all types of criminal defense matters, including violent crimes, DUI, theft and embezzlement, white collar crimes, sex crimes, juvenile crimes, drug crimes, firearm and gun offenses, and probation and parole violations.

Employment Law

The Firm represents employees and employers in all areas involving labor and employment and the employer-employee relationship. The firm has extensive experience in handling claims involving wage and hour disputes, overtime and meal break issues, discrimination, disability, family, and medical leave, wrongful termination, whistleblower, employee/independent contractor issues, and harassment.

The Firm handles these matters in state and federal courts, arbitrations, as well as in hearings with the various governmental agencies, such as the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and Department of Labor.

In addition to litigating matters, the firm also offers advice to employers and employees on all employment issues.  Attorneys in the Firm draft and negotiate employment and severance agreements, and also helps respond do them.  Substantial counseling may help avoid protracted and costly litigation. The Firm will also help employers draft policies, handbooks, manuals, employee agreements, severance agreements, and termination procedures. The Firm will also counsel on how to handle discipline and termination issues.

Real Estate Law

The Firm handles all matters types of contested matters involving real estate, including claims involving trespass to property, specific performance actions, real estate fraud, breach of fiduciary duty by brokers and agents, zoning and property line disputes, construction defect, breach of purchase and sale agreements, landlord/tenant disputes, title disputes, mortgage and deeds of trust disputes, and mechanics’ liens. In handling these matters, the Firm represents owners, developers, contractors and subcontractors, investors, realtors, brokers, and residential and commercial customers.

Trust and Estate Law

The Firm represents clients in all kinds of trust and estates disputes.  This includes handling trust and will contests, executor or trustee disputes, conservatorships, and beneficiary disputes.
